Strange but true! SecondFlor is the story of Alexandre and Mikaël, two computer engineers who discover the universe of eternal plants.
In 2007, their curiosity for natural materials brings them to create a decoration brand together. The concept: decorative objects made of wood, silk and ceramics. To be able to propose original and unique products, they poke around, they investigate, and discover the grail: preserved plants! This is a revelation.
One question remains: why has this product that has existed for more than 20 years does not have the notoriety that it deserves?
Thanks to their discovery, our two geeks are engaged in the manufacture of objects made up of stabilized plants and presented the first “stabilized” plant paintings at Maison & Objet in 2008 and 2009. A great success for them, Inspiration for others.
After years of frothing in stabilizing plants, visiting factories, fields, stabilization chambers – by train, plane, car, bicycle or scooter – Alex and Mikaël become true experts in plant stabilization .
Flowers and stabilized plants are gradually becoming trends. The general public is interested in it and professionals increasingly use these eternal plants.
We are then in 2016 and the Internet is starting to develop – er, not ok, we exaggerate a little 😉 – Alex and Mikaël then decide to create a platform for online sales dedicated to professionals, offering the widest range of flowers , Plants, foliage and stabilized mosses in Europe. That’s how Secondflor.com was born!

Before you explain the why of how, you will notice one thing: no E to flor! No E to natur! Yes because it is house policy: we remove the E since our products do not need maintenance. (Yes, we cogited a lot for this as you suspect). In short, the purpose of the magazine SecondNatur.com is to talk about stabilized in all its forms! Not just to chat, even if we like it. But it is mainly because we have noted that there is not yet a magazine dedicated to these plants of the future as more and more people are interested and that the market is developing.
