The dahlia is an autumn flower, so what better way to make it the centrepiece of this design. Enhanced with birch and pepper, it’s time to use orange colours. An autumnal theme for a composition with contemporary lines that can be done in 15 minutes.
EQUIPMENT
To make this Do It Yourself, you need :
– A container
– 2 stabilized dahlia
– 2 branches of stabilized pepper tree
– 5 colourful wood sticks
– 1m of rattan
– 5 pieces of birch bark
– 3 stabilized salal stems without leaves
– 2 flower holders
– Floral adhesive
– Stem wrap tape
– Florist stem wire
– 2 skeleton leaves
1 / Cut the rattan and pine strips to 15-18 cm, then cut 5 rectangles of 1.5 x 4 cm birch bark.
2 / Auto-block all the elements in the container, placing the longest sections at the bottom.
3 / Mount the 2 dahlias on the flower holders.
4 / Arrange the dahlias in a staggered pattern in the corner of the structure.
5 / Mount the pepper branches on technical wire.
6 / In the opposite corner, auto block the pepper branches.
7 / Glue the birch bark rectangles to the pine strip sections on the front and back of the structure.
8 / Auto-block the salal branches at the back of the structure.
9 / Stick the skeleton leaves to the bottom of the container.
