More than a performance, Naturya is an experience. A human and artistic adventure that takes us into a unique vegetal and floral fairy tale. Axel Montel originally imagined this ecological fable in 2007, and then began to bring it to life following his meeting with the composer Jean-Jacques Futterer. Between 2014 and 2019, the tribe performed sold-out shows at every performance in Nantes, Lille, and Metz.
The synopsis of Naturya
Climate disruption and air pollution reign on Earth. Oxygen is becoming increasingly scarce. All the countries in the world decide to send a commander on a last chance mission. He will have to reach the planet Naturya to find and bring back the flower of light, able to regenerate the vegetation on Earth and ensure the survival of humanity!
But beyond the synopsis, the particularity of this musical comes from the costumes and the set, at least 75% of which are made of stabilized flowers and plants. We must also praise the incredible performance of the actors who perform magical dances to enchanting music.
Who is the team?
The tribe Naturya, this is :
- 28 artists on stage for an initiatory journey of about 2 hours,
- a floral team made up of a floral designer and his assistant, together with florists and apprentices involved locally,
- 12 production staff,
- 20 technicians for set-up and dismantling and 6 technicians during the show.
The message they try to convey
This is a performance that conveys meaning and values and aims to make us aware, with emotion, of the need to respect our environment. A clear message: let’s all act together for our planet, to save this nature that we are destroying a little more every day. Or as the phrase repeated several times during the show so well communicates: “feel, breathe, listen to your heart”.
